"On some nights the sky is the best show in town. On this night, auroras ruled the sky, and the geomagnetic storm that created this colorful sky show originated from an increasingly active Sun. Surprisingly, since the approaching solar CME the day before had missed the Earth, it was not expected that this storm would create auroras. In the foreground, two happily surprised aurora hunters contemplate the amazing and rapidly changing sky. Regardless of forecasts, though, auroras were reported in the night skies of Earth not only in the far north, but as far south as New Mexico, USA. As captured in a wide-angle image above Saariselkä in northern Finnish Lapland, a bright aurora was visible with an unusually high degree of detail, range of colors, and breadth across the sky. The vivid yellow, green, red and purple auroral colors are caused by oxygen and nitrogen atoms high in Earth's atmosphere reacting to incoming electrons."  Source .

🌿 Apotheosis Is Back

A note from HighExistence Steward Eric Brown:

"At long last, the time has come!

Our next Apotheosis retreat is on the calendar. 🌿

From November 5-11, an intimate group of 12 will be heading into the Mayan jungles of Mexico, at the beautiful sanctuary of Kumankaya, for an incredible week of transformation, healing, love, and laughter.

Our first Apotheosis was 5 years ago, and it holds a deep place in the hearts of all who have attended. It is a modern rite of passage, in the spirit of serious play. We have learned a lot since then, helping facilitate hundreds of participants through deep healing processes.

The creators of Kumankaya are Remi and Ashley Delaune, two benevolent shamans who radiate great kindness and wisdom. In an earlier chapter of life, Remi was a Christian monk for 20 years, living largely in silence in France. During that time he earned two PhDs in Theology and Philosophy, reading thousands of books on the nature of reality.

We will be working with some of the most potent tools of transformation and awakening available: ayahuasca, bufo alvarius, breathwork, community, and many big bear hugs. 😉

Enjoy this excerpt from the Alan Watts classic "The Joyous Cosmology" where he describes different aspects of the psychedelic experience:

"To begin with, this world has a different kind of time. It is the time of biological rhythm, not of the clock and all that goes with the clock. There is no hurry. Our sense of time is notoriously subjective and thus dependent upon the quality of our attention, whether of interest or boredom, and upon the alignment of our behavior in terms of routines, goals, and deadlines. Here the present is self-sufficient, but it is not a static present. It is a dancing present, the unfolding of a pattern which has no specific destination in the future but is simply its own point. It leaves and arrives simultaneously, and the seed is as much the goal as the flower. There is therefore time to perceive every detail of the movement with infinitely greater richness of articulation. Normally we do not so much look at things as overlook them."

Apotheosis: an ancient Greek word that means, “the becoming or making into a god,” or “the highest point in the development of something; culmination or climax.” For us, Apotheosis symbolizes those heroes who voluntarily journey beyond the threshold of their current world, overcome fear, cast off limitations, and are then reborn.

 Experiencing Apotheosis: A Look Inside the First-Ever HighExistence Spiritual Retreat 

There are a few events in life that are truly ineffable.

They defy language, choosing to remain in the ether of mental space and memories. These are the moments we are most awestruck, the moments that stay with us for a lifetime, the moments that act as the inflection points of life — forever altering our course to better and brighter futures.

This is what a group of 40 strangers experienced as we ventured deep off-grid into the jungles of Costa Rica, for the first-ever HighExistence retreat —  Apotheosis .

Apotheosis, meaning ‘becoming or making into a God,’ or ‘the highest point in the development of something; cultivation or climax’.

Together, we embarked on a hero’s journey of the soul and emerged victoriously.

Friends were made. Wounds were healed. The foundations of a life-changing future were laid.

It was truly a gestalt experience, where the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.
